Technopaganism, PoMoPaganism and Urban Shamanism

This site is dedicated to providing pointers and ideas for paganism in the modern world and of a modern world. The current trend in neo-paganism is a reconstruction of classic paganism from what little we know of such early paganism and mythologies. This is a place for people who want to go in the other direction. Technopaganism is a paganism that incorporates the tools and beliefs of the modern high-tech world. PoMoPaganism is a post-modern contrast to neo-paganism, where instead of reconstructing the mythology of the past, we realize that we are constructing a religion and construct it from the mythology and paradigms of the present. Urban shamanism is the exploration of and dialogue with the spirits and energies that have arisen from humans becoming urban creatures.

This Site

This site has a number of links and projects. The first is the Metaphysical Request for Comments (RFCs), which mirror the Internet RFCs. The purpose of this is to establish ideas and structures, revise them and make them available for others to critique, expand upon and use. The Resources/Articles are pages that I have found particularly interesting or useful in technopagan exploration. Technopagan links are links to other technopagan pages. Disciplines of Interest link to pages about magickal and/or scientific disciplines that may interest thoses with a technopagan bent.

Please send comments, critiques, suggestions and such to harmless@trust-me.com
